Walking Canes
The African walking cane as a functional product has it’s
roots dating back from ancient Africa. The most popular
walking canes available are the ones made with symbols of
the Crocodile, Zebra, Lion, Snake, Elephant and the Giraffe.
Some also have symbols of the Masai people of Kenya and
Tanzania. African walking canes are symbols of prestige and
tokenism. Many tribal chiefs would use them much like a mace
when presiding over important functions.
